Washtenaw County Emergency Management Division is offering "Skywarn Spotter" Training free of charge to anyone 18 years of age or older who is interested in being trained in severe weather identification, protection and reporting procedures. The course is about 2.5 hours long, and identification codes are issued to all who complete the program. The class is:
Saturday, March 12 ** 10:00 am to 12:30 pm ** Washtenaw Intermediate School District, 1819 S. Wagner Road., located 1 mile south of Jackson Road, Ann Arbor
Thursday, April 14 ** 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm ** Ypsilanti Township Civic Center, 7200 South Huron River Drive, East off of Huron Street, South of I-94, Ypsilanti
Class sizes are limited so you must pre-register either electronically on their website located at http://emergency.ewashtenaw.org or by calling (734) 973-4900. Provide your name, phone number, class date, and verify that you are at least 18 years of age. PLEASE ARRIVE AT LEAST 15 MINUTES EARLY TO SIGN-IN.
