Community alerts are
used to inform and educate residents and business owners on any recent
crime patterns or trends found in the community or surrounding
area. This includes general crime prevention tips regarding recent
scams or frauds.
The Community Alert system is an email broadcast
system that takes the power of the Internet to deliver timely and
critical public safety information via your email.
When an incident occurs, the police department sends out a message
that has the capability to send it to either the entire community
or a specific area within the community. Any type of notice can be sent
to multiple people within minutes, notifying them of a problem
occurring in their area. These notices can range from crime trends,
missing persons, to natural disasters.
The Community Alert System is a free service to the public. Register today! To
subscribe to The Community Alert System, click on the above email
link to sign up. For further information or questions on Community
Alert contact Ofc. Tammie Colling at colllingt@twp.northfield.mi.us or
