Feb. 27 - Election Day!

The Michigan Presidential Primary election is Tuesday, February 27, 2024.   **Please note, there is one Local Proposal for this election for those residents within the South Lyon School District.**

**** Feb. 27, 2024 is a PRIMARY election.  A primary election is an election that narrows the field of candidates before an election for office. When voting during a Primary Election, you may only vote for candidates from ONE PARTY.

To save you time at the polls, it is a good idea to review the ballot prior to election day. SAMPLE BALLOTS are available at the Township office and on-line at michigan.gov/vote.

**** Early Voting is in effect starting with the February 27, 2024 Presidential Primary!  For the first time ever this February, all voters will have the option to cast their ballot early in-person for 9 full days prior to each major election if they so choose.  Please note that more traditional methods of casting a ballot, such as voting absentee or voting in-person on Election Day, are still available.

Early Voting sites will be operating across the county to accommodate those voters who wish to cast and have their ballot counted in-person before Election Day. Northfield Township is partnering with the Washtenaw County Clerk’s office to provide early voting services.

Northfield Twp. voters may visit either of the two Early Voting sites below from February 17 - February 25 between 9:00am - 5:00pm to cast their vote prior to the February 27, 2024 Presidential Primary:
