Statement: 75 Barker

For many years, the Board has struggled with the fate of the old township fire hall at 75 Barker which has fallen into disrepair.

We had hoped that it would be redeveloped into an attractive commercial and residential building with a permanent public parking lot. It was offered for sale and we had a sales agreement with a developer who planed to do that. The Board spent several meetings working on the sale of the parcel and a development agreement. 
However, the sale has fallen through and the building remains for sale. The Board will be looking for another opportunity in the weeks ahead.
