Office to Resume Regular Schedule
The Northfield Township Office will open back up to the public beginning Monday, June 15, 2020 with a return to our regular schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm. Glass has been installed at the front desk with two pass through areas. This is for the health and safety of the public and our staff. We ask that you maintain social distancing while in the lobby. The floor has been marked with 6 foot separations. We ask that you wear a face covering when you enter the lobby. If you don't have one, we will offer you one. You will not be refused service.
If you are not feeling well, have a fever, have a cough or difficulty breathing, have lost your sense of taste and/or smell, have traveled outside of Michigan in the last 14 days or have had close contact with a confirmed or probable COVID-19 case, we ask that you do not enter the building.
The Northfield Township Police Department lobby is now open for business. Regular hours are 8:30am-4:30pm Monday through Friday. You will notice that glass has been installed between the lobby and the police offices. That is for our protection as well as the public's. We ask that you wear a face covering when you enter the lobby. If you don't have one we will offer you one. You will not be refused service. At this time the only service we are not restoring is breathalyzer tests.
Our Red Barrel program will again be available with some changes. We have received many items in the Red Barrel that are not allowed (liquids, inhalers, sharps), so you now must turn your expired or unused medications in at the Police Desk. Any products not allowed for collection through the Red Barrel program will be returned to you.
The Community Center will remain closed at this time with the exception of their Meals on Wheels program. Staff are working from home as much as possible, and are regularly checking their emails and voicemails. If you need assistance, please call 734-449-2295 and leave a message. Someone will get back to you.
