MI Dept of Treasury - 30-Year Infrastructure Strategy Survey

The Michigan Infrastructure Council (MIC) is leading the production of a 30-year Integrated Infrastructure Strategy (the Strategy) for the State of Michigan. The Strategy will build a comprehensive, integrated asset management approach to help the state, regions, local governments, and asset owners make informed strategic decisions and wise investments in infrastructure which will serve as a foundation for the future.

The Strategy looks to develop a more holistic approach to statewide infrastructure developed through consultation with all stakeholders and users of our infrastructure systems. The MIC has released a public survey and encourages Michigan residents to complete the survey to share thoughts and opinions on Michigan’s roads, drinking water, stormwater, electric, sewer, natural gas, and broadband infrastructure, as it provides an opportunity to identify and shape priorities for the Strategy.

Public partnership and public contribution are critical to the structure and implementation of the Strategy. The Strategy will encourage community discussion, guide prioritization, promote sound investments, and minimize citizen inconvenience through more coordination and collaboration that can enhance infrastructure performance and improve the quality of life for Michigan's residents.
